The ‘Groupe d'Enfants’ association, which usually offers festive and intergenerational activities, wanted to commemorate the events that took place in the village between 23 December and 15 January 1945. With the help of the local authorities and other associations, the project has been developed with a range of activities on offer: a trail punctuated by educational panels illustrated with period photos and explanations of the Battle and its consequences for Salmchâteau, commemorative ceremonies and cultural events.
